I'm with you LostVenture! I've had my C60 for months now, and I spend every minute I can free up playing it!
It really caused some talk here in Boston, where people really don't know what to make of it. It has caused a previously unseen underlying latticework of Mosrite collectors and afficionados to come out of the woodwork.
I'm bending every effort to getting another one... this time a Road to Ruin model, but with the experimental addition of the Shade Trem that I'm addicted to.
Now that tortoise pickguard idea is really interesting. I wonder if Bob does 'em for Road to Ruins? I liked the look of tortoiseshell on the surf pearl; a little strange, but in a quaint old-fashioned way, like the Fifties and Sixties vision of the future in general. (Still waiting for that folding airplane in every garage!)
"No toitles were harmed in the making of these guitars."
Here I am singing my C60 to sleep at the sultry Club Bohemia.

This picture, by the way, was taken by Bob Colby, longtime Boston journalist and photographer, who goes all the way back to the Old Days. He was there at the very beginning at the Rat, and the Real Kids even wrote a song about him called "Do The Boob."

Hey all,
It's actually John aka Mosriteforever posting. Bob wanted me to post these pictures in response to the crushed pearl pickguard question and the 59 custom in cream that some have wanted to see. Here they go.

These illustrate the difference in the cream and Pearl White colors and show the crushed white pearl pickguard.
Hope you like them,
Mosriteforever!!

Snazzy!
I like the new smooth carve-edge on the treble horn of the 59 Custom and also on the newer H60C's :geek:
(whisper: I'd like to get me a second H60C but the Euro currency is sinking fast against the US dollar...) :(

I love the pickguard Bob ! I've been considering 'finding' and fitting one to my Candy Apple Red Ranger . I love the contrasting pickup covers also.
I'd like to hear what Paul thinks about having that guard on say a three tone sunburst ? Thanks for the pictures , now lets just try to will that euro up again OK :-)

cheers juan

If only I could will the euro up, I'd be the richest man around ;)
I'm sure the crushed pearl guard would make any Sunburst look more classy but to be honest, I love and prefer the iconic Mosrite-white pick guard on the Three Tone Burst Hallmark 60 Custom :geek:
