I can almost guaran-damn-tee you that problem is coming from the Store. I would call your Credit Card Company, explain the situation to them
to cancel the order, and then purchase a Brand New Mosrite from "Front Porch Music" in Bakersfield California ;). Artie has just announced that the
Mosrites are now available.......

Is there a link to pictures, specs and pricing?

MARCH 18 2009, a Ranger deluxe 65 arrived at my home.........after 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!months, no setup, strings lie on the neck, pickups so-so far(do you know the "right" heights to begin,I setted at 3 mm with strings depressed ).
I'll play & play with it to understand it,it's lighter and thinner than all my others guitars.
cheers Bruno

Congrats on FINALLY getting the Mo'! Bruno, I'm not sure what the correct setup is for
the Ranger, but I'm sure someone on the Forum who is familiar with them, will chime in ;) .
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

I can tell you now that would have pushed my limited patience beyond my ability to endure.
When I want something as good as that, I want it the day before yesterday and everything else in my life is put on hold until I get it.
I'm happy to see it arrived though.
Bill.

I thought about waiting for 7 months and then sending the congratulations on your new guitar... Couldn't wait that long, so I'm sending it now. So: congratulations! Hope you like it!

Yea, I have a Ranger. I use Elixir 11-set strings, so my guitar is setup for those. The original spring in the Vibramute is ok for me. Please note that if you use strings that are considerably heavier or lighter, you might need a more suitable spring to get the best setup.

I didn't go and measure, but the strings in my guitar are something like 2....3 mm from the fretboard. I set the Ranger up so that it plays beautifully everywhere in the neck (i.e. no buzzing anywhere). I adjusted the truss rod a little bit, but all in all the guitar was quite close to a nice setup for me already when I got it. I never had to adjust the height of the pickups. You might wanna set the string height first, and then see if the pups need adjusting.

One thing about the strings: I like the Elixirs a lot. I had tried them before, but I changed back to them some time after I got the Ranger. The main reason was that they slide much better over the nut because of their coating - this a great way to avoid tuning problems when using the vibrato bar.

I hope this helps. I really like my Ranger and I believe you will too when you find the best setting for you. It is a beautifully made guitar, and when setup properly, it is easy & fun to play, and you can really get "The" Mosrite feel and sound with it. By the sound I mean the 60's Mosrite-era Ventures sound, and also Johnny Ramone sound - it surprised me that I liked the Ranger more in punk rock use than my Ramo'ed japanese Mosrite Mark II.

Chemo, exscuse me for the question I did to you,but you're the only one which reply to my post:
I have a problem with the -e-string: if I bend a note after the 11-12 fret the sound disappear, the neck seems ok,raised the bridge .the same, yours?
it's the first guitar with this problem I have.
thanx 4 everything
