Hello from Ben Lomond, CA. 1968 Combo owner

Postby darren_m_lee » Wed May 13, 2026 5:59 am

Hello all!
So glad I able to be here now. My name is Darren, I am from Ben Lomond just about Santa Cruz in the Mountains.
I own a fabulous 1968 Mosrite Combo that I gained back in 2000, from Lightning Joe's in Arroyo Grande, CHEAP!
It has a few bugaboos but has been my pride and joy since. Will share pics ASAP... maybe this was yours once?
Proximity could maybe get me more info on it but for now, HELLO ALL! CHEERS and thanks for letting me be here.

Welcome. Though at the same time, I've been awful absent from here as of late.

What finish might your Combo have? I compile information of which ones were built over in the Vintage Instrument section. They had some less often seen finishes like Black, Blue, and even Green. I wouldn't be too surprised if I see something even more unusual one day like a purple burst, if Semie was feeling like trying something unusual out one day. There are a rare few Purple Mosrites, but all the ones I can think of are different models from the 1980s, not earlier than 1984.
