Mosrite Mark I Homemade body template

Postby LeoPortella » Sun Dec 17, 2017 4:30 pm

Hello, can someone help me please?
I'm trying build a Mosrite Mark I, it's hard to get the exact info i need, on the body, i'm not finding much success.

Can you guys look at the pictures and tell me if i'm on the right way, the template i made is 17 inches from the neck pocket to the end of trhe body, and 17 inches side to side, as seen on the pictures, seems like it's too large

Neck pocket to end of body should be 15 3/4" long. The body width should be exactly 14" wide. Your template would probably be right or close to a bass size body.

I'm sorry, it's 15 side to side! Not 17...

Ok, so i got figure out what's wrong!

I saw a template here on the forum (Ludobag's guitar), and it was 15" x 20"... So i used the neck and fingerboard mesures (24 3/4 scale too), to match the neck pocket on the body of that exact image of the template i found here.

It should be right, but i'm missing something!!

I'm new here, i'm not shure how to show pictures, can you see them?

Thank you!

That's the "template" i'm talking about:

viewtopic.php?f=20&t=4772&hilit=ludobag&start=30

Is that right?

Thank you
