After walking away from the computer in last reply...it dawned on me that my original post noted 1967 model which I must have fat fingered the keyboard and not noticed ( too much holiday egg nogg I guess ) while in fact it is a 1966 and has neck and body dates in May 1966 serial number 38XX. The person I acquired the guitar from got the thing from Nokie Edwards

welcome to the forum...also have a 66 sunburst...65 date on neck..66 on the body..truss rod adj at the body end ...serial 3850 so were very close
