Hey guys..........my name is Shawn

Postby TriflerShawn » Fri Jul 20, 2012 8:43 am

Hello all...
New member here. My name is Shawn. I'm from Baton Rouge Louisiana.
I play in a rockabilly band called The Bedlamville Triflers...hence my tag "TriflerShawn"
Currently I play mainly Gretsch guitars, a 6120, and a Duo Jet. I have always wanted a Mosrite, and in recent years have really started jonesing for one. I am a huge fan of Joe Maphis and Grady Martin, as well as Johnny Ramone and the Ventures. Not sure if I'll ever be able to afford the real deal, but I am currently eyeballing a Hallmark. I figure that'll be my "gateway" drug.

Been lurking here for a little while, and I've seen some familiar names. Hope to get to know ya'll, and find out more info on Mosrites, and all of the great copies.

Cheers!

Trifler Shawn

Thanks!

I think a Mosrite/Hallmark might work well with our sound!!! :D
Definitely would work well on the twangy more country-fried tunes we do.

Welcome, Shawn! As a Hallmark owner (4 of them), I highly recommend the Deke Dickerson model, if you can swing it. If not, then go for the 60 Custom - great guitars, great prices!
