I'm Chris, from New Orleans, now in the Atlanta area. I recently developed an interest in learning the guitar, and have just started working on the basics on an acoustic (seagull s6), but I do plan to also migrate over to electric at some point. Between what I've been reading online on my own, and a friend that is a die hard mosrite fan, I found my way here.
Regards
Chris

Welcome! I don't know about others...maybe it's just bad technique on my behalf, but I find the difference in touch between acoustic and electric guitars is significant...I started on an electric, and still feel like I don't get the best from an acoustic... You're probably wise to start on an acoustic.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.
@olrocknroller
Yeah.... from my initial playing around, the feel is very different between the seagull and other acoustics I've played around with and the electrics I've played around with. I can't claim credit for any possible wisdom in starting off acoustic though.... just following the advice of others I know that started playing 30 years ago when we were all teenagers. lol.

Welcome Chris, intriguing avatar you have there. Do I see some 'French flowers' in it?

Yes. Gules, within a single tressure, flory on the outer edge, the sun in his splendor Or, charged with an 8 pointed spur revel of the field, pierced of the last.

A neat little blazon, but also a prime example of why not to let a Korean woman have any input on the design of a coat of arms that actually was registered and published in Germany...... lol.
