You've kept your '64 in very good condition, Tony; wow, congratulations that you still have it!!
I'm still kicking myself for not having bought a Mosrite in the early 60's...or 70's...80's...90's...

Hey everyone.. The guitar is in better shape than most but it does have wear and chips.. The finish has gotten very brittle. The handle is original but being held in place by fret wire on one side and a nail on the other. I still have my 1st guitar also which I just had made playable after 40 some odd years of sitting around.. It's very cool.. Oddly enough I sold my second guitar way back to buy the Mosrite.. It was a 57 strat.. Who knewII  Paid $350 dollars for the Mosrite.. And I don't think there is a cooler looking guitar on the planet!!
Peace

Here's an interesting tid bit..Today I was in Sam Ash Music - Huntington, NY and was researching a MOBRO I am thinking of buying.. Any info on them would be appreciated..
But here's the kicker , the sales guy tells me that another 64/65 transitional Ventures model came through the store about a year ago Candy Red - finished all the way up to the headstock. He thought it was odd and had never seen one like that before.. Strange thing .. it's my sister guitar.. the serial was # 1343....mine is #1344 same exact guitar.. This kind of coincides with what Semie told me back when he was in NC. I am going to try to contact this guy just to compare them side by side. Maybe buy it, if he's up for it.. Maybe he's lurking on these boards.. If you are come forward..
Peace
