You mean something like this? :)

There was a discussion about three pickup Gretsches over on the GretschPages a while back:

I'm pretty sure I've seen photos from the 50s/60s of someone playing a White Falcon with three dynasonics, though it might have been a 6120, I don't remember.

Excuse me while I wipe the drool...... Mel, you never cease to amaze me! Now I have to play the Falcon for a while then decide if I want my guy to put in a third pickup.I don't even have the guitar yet and I like the idea.

I've had mixed results with the sound of tri-power humbuckers. I had a Univox Ripper (1976) that sounded so good a guy kept offering me more money until I sold it... Recently, I built a tri-power guitar with 3x Golden Age Humbuckers from Stew-Mac, and anything involving a mix with the center pickup sounds like I'm playing through a ten-foot long sewer-pipe. It's definitely unique, but I don't have a clue where I'll ever need quite that sound... Dynasonics and "Trons may be completely different animals though...never had the good fortune to play with them!

Dynasonics can get a nice quack in the bridge/middle and middle/neck settings. Similar to a P-90 or a Mosrite pickups, it's thicker than a Fender single coil but the quack is there.

I've never played a guitar with three humbuckers, and it's been over ten years since I've owned a guitar with any humbuckers, so I can't comment on how that would turn out.

Definitely get used to the Falcon as is before doing anything to it. Chances are you'll love it as it.

That Buckingham is looking good! I've always said the Buckingham is pinnacle of Vox amp design. The guitar is great looking too.
