Greetings all,
I recently had a Mosrite find it's way to me. I knew nothing about them unil I found this site.
I want to thank you all for the great information contained in this forum and thanks to those of you who have put together websites (sarah93003).
I certainly have learned a lot about my Celebrity 3.
Whoever had it before me shimmed the nut about a quarter of an inch high, the neck pocket had cardboard shims in it the bridge was raised as high as it would go.
(It looked like someone had been using it as a slide guitar! Has anyone seen a mosrite used as a slide guitar? Just curious).
The good news is that it all appears to be original except for the tone and volume knobs and one of the pots has been changed. The tuners, pickups, pickguard, bridge, and tailpiece are all original. The neck serial number and body serial number match. The neck is straight and the body is in good shape, no cracks or splits.
I have since removed the shims from the nut and neck pocket. I replaced all of the rusted out screws. I have not had a chance to set-it up yet. I might leave that up to the professionals. I am going to try and find a luthier in my area (STL) because it looks like it might be a tricky task! The frets are so low and that bridge looks like it might test my patience.
Anyway, I hope to get some pictures up soon! Thanks again for everyone's contribution to this site. It is greatly appreciated.

I would love to know your secret in getting a Mosrite find it's way to you (instead of the other way round!). Don't answer if that's confidential, sir!Slick Bubba wrote:I recently had a Mosrite find it's way to me. I knew nothing about them unil I found this site

Welcome to the forum SB. Would you mind sharing the serial number so I can add it to my research project.
I am almost to 300! I would love to see photos as well. Let me know if I can help in any way.
