I just purchased a very nice mint condition 1966 Ventures Mosrite guitar here in North Texas. The guitar is came with an autograph on the pick guard from "Nokie Edwards".
I am trying to locate the names of Mosrite inspectors back in 1966.. I took the neck off and although faint I believe the name was Pat or Patsy Gomez..
Can anyone assist me?

Re: About my New mint condition 1966 Mosrite #4966
A little background of my Ventures Model 1966 Mosrite just purchased in North Texas: The pick guard was autographed by Nokie Edwards apprx. 2 years ago when he was in North Texas to perform at the Hard Rock Cafe, 2008 or 2009. At the same time, Nokie was in the studio in Hurst Texas with The Light Crust Doughboys: The gentleman who sold me this fabulous piece had dinner with Nokie and received the signature on this Mosrite!
Also, The Gentleman who sold it to me was a Surf Rocker back in 1963, The Imperials, has pictures of his group playing all Mosrite guitars. His group, The Imperials, got back together in 1997 0r 1998 (after 30+ years) cut a CD and were later that year invited o play for the huge Car festival in California with The Beach Boys, Tornadoes, Sha-Na-Na- etc....
He and I have talked about old times and Mosrites for hours.. When I finally figure out how to post pictures on this site I will share photos of my 1966 Mosrite. IF anybody cares to see it?

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the new guitar! I've also got a '66 Ventures model - it's the guitar in the forum logo! Great that you know some of the history of the guitar - was the guy you bought it from the original owner? Did he use it on any recordings?
