Hello Elliot,
I was scanning a letter I had received from Les Paul after I wrote to him back in 1983, to keep on the computer, and when I opened up the frame I found a picture I had cut out from Guitar Player Magazine (because it was a cool guitar!) and I am guessing you might remember it! Nice looking guitar! If you don't mind me asking, why did you part with it?
Anyway, I hope you like the picture of an "old love"!
Take care,
Gary

yes, thank you for the picture! of course i remember it. why did i sell it? the body was cracked almost completely through from the neck pocket to the butt-end. there were rusty nails holding the pickups in! yes, i could have restored it but it would have been a ton of work. i only had a few hundred bucks into and a friend really wanted it badly so i let it go.
Also I have this '66, which is just a killer, super clean guitar!

Yes, that's my main Jazz baby. I have a beautiful white one that Fred Stuart built me years ago at the Fender Custom Shop but this '66 is just so sweet to play and has a gorgeous tone.

That's a beaut. The dots and binding look in the Jags and Jazzmasters from mid 65 - mid 66 have always exuded a restrained "kool" to me.

That is very cool! When you find a good one, you know it! Even unplugged!

How about some TikiGods stories?

I Just got a new '65 Mark I USA reissue in candy apple red after playing on the Mosrite album. What an unbelievably sexy guitar! I'll post some photos when I get the chance.

i got one of those at the end of 2009, 'cept mine's blue ink. love her. used it for a few tracks last month in the studio.
