Thanks Sarah, it's looking HUGE overhere to be honest.
Anyone else have the jumbo sized pics show up?

Thanks D, if by 'Page look' you mean black with a cream pickguard, then yes. Oigun will add a hint of sparkle when he paints it. Just like the old Silvertones. Unlike the JimmyPage 59DC it'll be a 1 lipstick guitar though. I really can't even handle more. Ain't no JP...
Flip back a couple pages for a pic of what it'll look like.

You have to reduce the size of the photo before you post it or it will be huge. I use photoshop and always reduce my pics to 6 or 7 inches in the longest dimension. Then I upload them to PhotoBucket and post them here.

That's the thing. I reduce all my pics to 320x240. Previous posts had forum software freak out over the size of my pics eventhough I had downsized all of them. Last post software didn't bat an eye and published every pic without so much as a hiccup. Eventhough I downsized my pics forum shows these jumbos anyway...
 I can't take it anymore!
Every other forum I posted these shows medium sized pics...
hmmm...

[edit: now it's showing the pics med sized... ]

Hai Sensei.

Today I attended a Masterclass at Oigun Sensei's workshop. He showed me how to make a template for a neckpocket and we routed both that and the pickup cavity.

prepared a piece of MDF, drew a centerline to act as a guide
clamped the neck
Image

double stick a piece of MDF on three sides of the neck, squeeze 'em in!
Image

routed out the pocket template, made a tight fit!
Image

took some doing to place the pup cavity in the template
Image

routed everything

Next step is routing for control cavity and making a cavity plate.
Tomorrow?

Just leftyfied the neck:
Drilled away the sidedots:

And made some rosewood "pills " with a little brass pipe.

As if it weren't enought to just lefty it up a bit, Oi has gone ahead and completely leftied the neck over!
Leftification is complete!

Haven't gotten round to much in the last couple days. Routed the control cavity, well... opening. And cut a plate for it.
