Just finished a one-off guitar for my winter jams in Yuma. It is a walnut through-body neck with walnut over maple wings. The walnut wings are removable without taking off the strings, so that pickups, and electronics can be changed. I am finishing off a second set of electronics for interchanging Nokie's custom wound pickups that he uses on his HitchHiker with the units now installed. I have only recently finished the guitar, but everything seems good and stable, so I think I got the neck about right.

What a unique design!
...is that a control panel-strip on the lefthand side?

Re: New Creations in guitar-ville
The switch panel on the left side controls the pickups, providing every possible combination (about 13) of each of the halves of the pickups. The right side sports the volume, and jack. I do not use tone controls because each pot you put into a passive pickup circuit bleeds some of the signal from the pickups. I rely on the amp controls in my i-pod to provide the tone and pedals to the amp that I want.

Ain't that just very clever...and at 90 degrees to the body the angle makes it very easy on the eyes too, especially when playing while standing up!olrocknroller wrote:The switch panel on the left side controls the pickups, providing every possible combination (about 13) of each of the halves of the pickups.

Outrageously hip and not just another "common silhouette" copy!
