Hi there Mosrite Fans,
I bought a Mosrite Joe Maphis model 6-string a few years back, after wanting a Mosrite for years, decades really. I was born in Bakersfield and actually saw Semie Mosely play a Mosrite at my Aunt and Uncle's Pentecostal church there when I was a "wee boy", way back in the mid 1960's. He performed with his sons as I recall, two young guys who also played Mosrite's of course. So I was real happy to find mine and I love the feel and sound of it, not to mention the really cool looks. This 40-something ax plays and sings as good as my high-tech Parker Classic Fly, which is a true wonder, considering it's age, while acknowledging luthier's craftsmanship and devotion to the art form. IMO, these are some of the finest electric guitars ever made and I look forward to reading what other enthusiasts here have to say.

Welcome to the forum, Steve. We'd love to see your Maphis model when you get a chance. That is so cool that you got to see Semie play live, what a great memory!!
