The head is stored in the back. I don't know much about the Danelectro/Silvertone deal, unfortunatley. Sorry.

Dennis, Chicago Music Exchange has a ton of old Mosrites. But, man are they insanely priced! Wow. Cool to look at, though.

Thanks!
Phil

Yeah, those amps are starting to reach INSANE prices on E-Bay!! I miss mine, but I sold it way back when, for an amp that had "real reverb." (LOL) I still remember my old Bass Player at the time telling me the reverb sounded like a "tin can in a toilet."
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Welcome!
Phil, the pic with Myra, is that Wraygun or Cocktail Preachers? I have 'Albatross Joe' on a surf compilation, Monsters of Surf. My 3 yr old daughter loves the CD, and I have always enjoyed that particular track.

Thanks! Actually, that was a band I put together called 13 Tikis. We did spooky surf as well as some spooky covers (Southern Culture, Sonics, etc). She came up and did a song she wrote with Ghouls Night Out. If I can find the video, I'll post a You Tube link. She's awesome! Whenever Gein, or The Crimson Ghosts come to town, I make sure to get a band together to play with them. They are great people and it's such a fun time. We were trying something different. She sent the CD, we learned the songs and when she got to town, she jumped on stage. Seat of the pants kinda thing.

Thanks also for the compliment for Albatross Joe! If you're interested, here's a video we did for another song Steve (guitar player) wrote called Jimmy's New Board. (You might recognize the blonde. She's Sammie from the first season of Rock Of Love With Brett Michaels). The only Mosrite-related content is my Wilson Bros Bass. Sorry....

Yeah, I keep watching the prices as well. I was hoping to get another as a backup but, oh well.

Ha! That's EXACTLY what the reverb sounds like. Craziest thing I ever heard. The tremolo is one of the best, though. Deep and swampy. Fun stuff!

Have been away for oversea and domestic trips in the last few weeks. Went to Portland, OR last weekend, did not see Nokie Edwards but met wellknown guitarist Muriel Anderson (All Star's Night) on the plane.

Wow, this forum is really growing. Glad to see another member from Chicago area. Never thought we have so many Mosrite fans here in windy city.

Welcome!

BTW,
I found a pic me playing my first Mosrite. Myra from Gein & The Graverobbers joined us on stage for a few songs.

Phil, Was that the "Ink Blue" or the "Metallic (Candy?) Blue?" The way the camera caught it,
it's hard to tell, but the angle makes it look sweet  .........
