Reproduction Mosrite bridges

Postby Sarah93003 » Wed Jul 14, 2010 9:45 am

One of the things I've given a lot of thought to is offering reproduction parts as true to the originals as I possibly can. I think it will give people an option to restore their gutiar rather than parting it out. I think I've figured out how to do everything but the tremolo and the bridges. The thing holding me back on the bridges was the ability to chrome or nickel plate and with the recent bass thread that seems like a great solution.

So, the next thing I need is some dimensions for bridges that I do not have in my possession. If someone out there has calipers and would kindly provide some measurements that would be awesome!

I need to know overall width and wall thickness for: Bass bridge and the bridge used for 6 & 12 strings.

I need to know the diameter of the saddles for: Bass bridge and 6 string standard.

I think that about covers it.

If someone happens to know what the original material of the Moseley bridge is that would be great information.

Thanks!

it is kinda funny, but I really think this was done on purpose, if you closely examine a mosrite, you will find the hidden M's.
