I don't think that was the suggestion. The idea is to make a reproduction of the old Roller Matic roller bridge used on Mosrite WITH a tremolo. That is my intent anyway. I've been messing with ways to make a faithful and true reproduction that anyone would be pleased to put on their guitar to restore it. I intend to make the Roller Matic, as well as the standard bridge for the bass and the six string.

We do have a few members that find it extremely difficult to stay on topic. ;)

I think if we tested our forum members for ADD, I bet we would come back with surprising results... ;)

I was in seventh heaven when I saw the IRON BUTTERFLY live at the old Fillmore (East) back in the late '60s. During a pause between songs when it got quiet in the auditorium I stood up and yelled at the band "Solo!" The bass player who had his back to the audience spun around, gave me an "okay" sign and they went right into "Solo". What a joy to hear Mosrites live at your request!

it funny you said that Bob, cuz I did the exact same thing when I was in front at a ramones show, and I just got a pick thrown at me, lol

OK folks. Enough!

It makes for a difficult time trying to follow the build of a project when members continually start discussing other topics in the middle of it. New topics are always welcome.

Can we start a new topic and not contaminate the bass building thread? PLEASE!!!!!!!

Hay Oigun, looking good, it's gona be a sweet looking base when its finished. That bit of information about nickel plating is a cool tid bit to keep in the back of my mind for future refferasnce incase I need to do some my self at home. Don't know if those chemicals would be over the counter products in the states, but it sure wouldn't hurt to try and get them.

So, back on topic :D
Did every day a little job so the bass is coming a long very well. Made the string anchor out of a piece of rosewood and alum:

Neckpocket and PUcavity routed

The carve is now almost done . Spaceship-contoured back for that alienated mosy feel: (IMHO a flat back is'nt right on this bass)

Dottet and frettet the neck:.

Looks great! What did you use for the aluminum on the string anchor?
