Nope. Brian's stolen doublenecks were from the '60s and '70s respectively.

This one has signs that it is from the mid 50s, not the late 50s. Those fancy headstocks, for instance, didn't show up on the later 50s models.

Is there any way to capture some of those photos off eBay and save them here for reference in the future?

This is the only way that I could find.

"There is a workaround for these types of situations that I have always found useful. It's not the best/easiest way, but it'll get you the photo if you really want it. Look to the right of your F12 button and you'll see something along the lines of a "prt sc" button, standing for "print a screenshot". Hit that button once. Nothing will appear to happen, but you can then open up Microsoft Paint and hit EDIT, and then PASTE in Paint. This will put your entire screenshot in paint. You can then cut out the picture that you wanted from the screenshot and save it as its own file. Sorry if it's hard to understand, but good luck! =)"

For now, this will have to do.

I've got a capture program that came with Corel Draw. I've got just about all of them. There are a lot that are pretty redundant so I skipped some. I was afraid that they'd be gone at some point. I'll put them up in a bit.

Super, Terry. Thanks for that - this is too good to let slip by.

GOOD JOB, Mel! :)
Note that the guitar case is designed to house the headstocks facing right; was this common in the day?
Also the two pickups on the longer neck are positioned at right angles to the neck whereas the one on the shorter- (and narrower?) scale neck is placed at an angle, seemingly with the intention to have each individual pole piece line up perfectly underneath each string. The other reason for the slanted pup could be a matter of 'tone' ...but looking again at this historically important instrument makes me choose the former 'argument'. :geek: Any other thoughts?

Also notice the really dramatic radius on the fretboard - it's far more pronounced than the later Mosrites, and even the Fender 7.25" radius. What is it, maybe 5"? If I remember Doug Brewer's double neck has a similar radius.
