Hey, woodchuck, thanks for the kind words. The project has encountered a couple of bumps in the road, and that's one reason I/we haven't checked back in on this thread for awhile, but it's back on course for now and progressing nicely. I will be in touch with bluebill and I'll see if he wants to post some photos or if he wants to wait until there's more to report. Stand by...

Sorry about the delay. I had an LP special to get out and it's now in Lt. Daves hands being finished. Here are some recent shots of activity.








Today and this weekend the fingerboards get binding and glued on the neck. I've already cut one carve in the body but will be re cutting it to a larger cove type cut.

If you need any help digging up parts, maybe I can help.
I have some mosrite pickups from the 70s, I have and original
12 string tail piece , Got a bunch of 12 string roller saddles
I've even got 2 or 3 un-plated Moseley tremelo base plates.

It's white ash...the same as my baseball bats.

Don't have an actual answer for you on that just yet...but the best guess is that it'll be a bit heavier than my Rickenbacker 360/12, but not twice as heavy. In fact, I suspect the final weight may surprise you on the light side.

Just a quick update...lots of things (rain, family, work, recreation...) have slowed this build, but it still continues. With any luck, there'll be some more photos in the next week or two. One nice piece of news is the fact that Ed Elliott is sending some 12-string roller saddles, and that looked to be a very big obstacle until Ed came along...Thanks, Ed!
