Just before Oigun handed that over to it's new owner I had a chance to play it...
Amazing, I thought I had some smooth playing guitars, turns out this was in a different ballpark.
The guy just builds a heck of a guitar!

Glued in the binding and cleaned up the carve, its almost there .The final cleanup is just before painting. It has to be Nice and clean beacause it will be "Semie" transparent

the neck:

Routed the trussrodchannel it will be a two way adjustable.

Figured out the sideprofile.The heel will be an itsy-bitsy less high than in dannys post becaus my block of maple was 3mm les thick.Sawed roughly on the bandsaw:


Planed the headstock and suddenly some birdseyes are poppin' out:

The fretboard will be santos rosewood (pau ferro)

Now I have to wait till the white bindings arrive for the fingerboard

This fretboard will be bound so I have to be sure all the sots are deep enough:

Maybe my lens is a bit dusty
Cleaned and lightly sanded the back of the fingerboard and the neck so the gluejoint is hardly visible.:

OMG here is a job :

Using an inner bicycle tyre is the way to go with an already bound fingerboard. It will be aligned automatically and gives enough pressure for a tight joint.
