Size difference between Ventures MK I and MK II

Will a Ventures MK I fit in a original MK II case. What are the size difference between the guitars? Can someone give me the total length of a MK I so I can compare it to my MK II. The internal dimensions of the case is 13 1/2 inches by 40 inches.

I'd say that's a negative, Big Daddy. Fitting a Mark I in a II/V case would be analogous to fitting a Strat in a Mustang case.

Wow... How much larger is the Mark I? I tried my full size Les Paul in it, and it fit. Is the MK I that much longer? I'm thinking of buying a MK I without a case and the seller recommended I send a case to him so he could ship it back in that case. All I have is the ratty MK II case. Can some one please send the dimensions of a MK I so I can verify if it will or will not fit. I really hoped this would fit.
