Re: Hallmark 60's Custom

I wish I had the kind of income to afford a custom guitar. I checked out Roger's work...very nice indeed. If I ever did go down that road, Tym's Crestwood Deluxe/Mk II hybrid would be hard to pass up (even though I'm not crazy about his headstock logo).

The Wilshire I got isn't a collector's piece by any stretch. It plays and sounds fantastic, however. Re-necked and refinished, by someone who knew what they were doing. For the price ($400) I couldn't pass it up. Sorry this pic isn't so great:

...and I think I see a Bigsby B5 or Maestro short vibrola in that guitar's future.

Wouldn't mind getting one of the Mk IIs, but I just dropped my "fun" money on a 60s Epiphone Wilshire. Now I can really pretend to be Fred "Sonic" Smith...

Wow!! Super nice guitar! And the Wilshire also!

If (or more like WHEN) i get a Hallmark. This will be the finish.
Totally Fred "Sonic" Smith. =)
What'd you pay for it? Wondering if you had to pay extra since white on white isn't a standard option.

Boy am I jealous of people on this forum...

I saw that guitar on Craigslist a week or so ago. I also live in Mpls.

If I remember correctly, when I asked Bob about getting the white pickguard, he offered it at no extra charge. I got the tortoise one as well, so I did pay for an extra pickguard in the end.

There's another, earlier model on there now too. Looks a lot cleaner than mine, but that hideous Floyd Rose-esque vibrato would have to go.

Seasoned greetings. Anyone else out there waiting on a Hallmark? I know they're out of cases at the moment, but my fingers are gettin' itchy. Any news on an ETA?
