I noticed that the pups or dispatched differently on a gospel, and seem to be totaly diffrent pups actually. What about the neck?...is it similar to a mark-I? width of the nut,etc...
Sorry for askin so many question latlely

For clarification's sake, I'm pretty sure Spankin Allison is inquiring about the Fillmore Kurt Cobain Gospel model, essentially a Mark V / Ventures II.

I think the pickups are similar with the exception of the pole pieces. Otherwise, the neck meets the body higher up the neck so there's less access to the upper frets. Unless you're really tied to having a "Gospel" I'd look for a vintage Ventures Mark V. I bet you could find one in a price range similar to the Gospel.

I'm not sure what you mean by a different headstock. Do you mean just painted different? Anyway, I can't imagine that a Mark V would sound much different from a Mark I. They'd play different though since the Mark V is smaller.

Well, i came across a 68 "gospel" one day,and the headstock was not "M" shaped,it was diffrent,more of a standard headstock..since i'm no mosrite expert,well i tought it could be a fake.Anyway i didn't have the money back then.
Thanks

Semie Moseley made all sorts of Gospel models, Maybe you saw the "Sooner" headstock? I'm not sure if he was making those headstocks back then. Here's a link to a topic that has a picture of a guitar with a Sooner headstock.
