I've always loved Mosrite guitars and considered them the number 1 "surf guitar", although I have never been able to afford one. I have to resign myself to use the number 2 "surf guitar" - a Fender Stratocaster. My favorite guitar of the seven that I own right now, is one that I built using a '62 Strat body and a '94 Strat neck with vintage hardware.
Danny got me re-interested in Mosrites some time ago when he sent me some pictures of a couple of his projects. I was eat-up with envy!

As you probably already know, I too gave up on the CAS sport. Music and guitars is so much more relaxing and the people hear on the forum are a great bunch to hang out with. A lot of old timers here too.
