Sometimes playing guitar is just difficult...

Postby midwestsurfer » Thu Oct 01, 2009 6:07 pm

Here's a picture that my wife took of me and our kitten Ariel. She goes nuts whenever I play guitar in the house, and in this shot she's actually balancing herself on the neck while I play. I thought you all might get a kick out of it.

There seems to be a strong connection between cats and guitars. All of my cats love to sit in empty hardshell cases, and my Maine Coon has to be involved when I am restringing.

When I used to have a Rick 12-string, he was in heaven, because it took me so long to restring it. I finally learned a trick to cut the time by two-thirds, and I swear the cat was upset.

Yep, most of the cats I've had over the years love empty cases and re-stringing time.

What a shot, I never thought cats would like to sit on a guitar neck or in cases.

Two cool cats and a cool Surf guitar. That photograph would make an excellent front cover of a pet- and/or guitar magazine I reckon
One of the family cats of my schooldays, "Timmy tiger" -heh heh, would always choose to sit on my neck and nibble at my ballpoint every time I was trying to do my homework LOL...Being an animal lover myself, I let him have his way of course and besides, it offered me an excuse for not being amongst those having the best report cards of the class… :D
