Mosrite ink blue Metallic paint?

Postby socoto » Sat Sep 26, 2009 3:51 am

I’m trying to figure out where to get ink blue metallic paint used on Mosrites. I really like the color shown in this post from surfdude2000 and then later in the thread by GattonFan. http://www.mosriteforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=660

Anyone know where to get that color? It’ll be awhile before I need it, I’m just trying to figure out prices and resources.

Looks like I should check my vision! I really thought it was blue. The deep jewel green is REALLY sharp! I'm still thinking ink blue, but I think I found an excuse to make another guitar :)
Thanks for the source...I think I'll go to the auto parts store to do some color shopping!

Before you buy some paint and do it yourself, i would sugest sending it out to be painted. I dont know your skill level at finishes but these guys are really great. Im having them do my 1960 jazzmaster (I just got ) They are really nice and work with you to get the color you are looking for (aged and checked...releced if you want)
For $300 I think its a good deal!
