Hey folks!
Be gentle, this is my first post and I admittedly don't know as much about these guitars as I should.
I'm restoring a Celebrity and have some questions about pickups.
Were the Hi-Fi's in Celebrity model guitars the same as those found in the Ventures modes? I recently purchased a set (expensive!!) out of a Ventures model along with some other misc vintage hardware and am curious if there are any differences.

My wife plays a model 300 bass and it has a cool humbucker in it.

Check your serial number. The 'A' and 'M' series Celebrity used pickups with exposed pole pieces like you have. The 'K' series used the flat surface pickups.

Re: vintage pickup question
Got it. The neck is an M series so the pickups should be a good match. I've read that they were also used in Ventures models, can you confirm this?
And dubtrub..... I figured that thing out.

I'll let someone else confirm since I've never owned a Ventures model. Bear in mind that the Ventures model went through an evolution that included subtle changes to the pickups, too.
