Hello folks.
I am a collector and player of guitars. Presently, I am looking for a Mosrite, and felt this would be a good place to start my search.

Welcome David,
Yep, this is a good place to start, especially if we know what you are looking for. There's a lot of choices when it comes to Mosrites.

Welcome aboard the MosBoat
If you want to play a mosrite, the 70's necks are awesome! and i love the 70's mosrite shapes and setups (humbuckers etc) or buy a japanese mosrite...
if you want to collect mosrites the other members will have a better idea.
But it all depends on what you are wanting to achieve.

Re: The hello......
Thank you for the rich and warm welcome!
I have played a couple of Mosrites in the past at what was my favorite guitar store, Outlaw Guitars in NJ (They moved to Hoboken and now named Hoboken Vintage). One had an insanely thin neck. Presently, I have my eye on one, but not too sure if it is genuine. It is a metallic green v88, with a matching painted neck and headstock. I was told that Semie was making a number of these rare one offs to pay his investors.
BTW.... It is a small collection of guitars and amps..... 8 guitars, 1 bass and 12 amps.... Fatherhood set in, and put the kibosh on the spending.

And a simple search shows that I am not the only one looking....

The 1988 paint on the Headstock leaves me a wondering..... Any thoughts on its authenticity?

It's authentic for sure. I've seen that Star Wars scrolling "1988" several times before.
