Semie made a handful of them, and is another example of his guitars without the Mosrite name on the headstock.

Thanks for the quick replies, excellent pictures. Looks like a fun guitar to play! But does anyone know the right way to pronounce Semie?

Mosrite is pronounced like in "the lawnmower MOWS RIGHT" so it's creator's surname Moseley must be pronounced "MO(W)SLEY" I have always presumed that his christian name is pronounced as in "SEE ME"...

...but perhaps forum member Greg [alias "mosritetexas"] can wise us up on the correct pronunciation because, gathering from the quote below, he's a relative.

mosritetexas wrote:...//...Oh, yes I do work with Mosrite and Dana Is family. Semie was my idol and cousin. I traveled with him and did shows with him in the late "80's...//...I will be reading the forum and try to answer all questions...

Definitely NOT "see-me." I've heard it both as "semi" (like hemi) and "simmy" (like Jimmy).

For the members not familiar with Chrysler engines, hemi is pronounced as hem-ee, or, in a more continental fashion, like the demi in demi-tasse.

Or if you wanna get highfalutin, like hemidemisemiquaver (which is what the Brits call a sixty-fourth note).
