I haven't made up my mind on the finish yet. I've never done a burst finish before but I might try it. Thanks for the kudos.

I agree that Sunburst would look great. Also White see-thru Blonde would also look very good. I don't think I've ever seen a White Blond Mosrite before, would make it a true Custom Guitar.

Fillmore makes a blonde ash custom model, and it works.

Just to throw it out there I have only ever seen one picture of any orange Mosrite and it was a M88 or V88. You could finish it in orange.

It'd be my guess that this isn't your first guitar build. Looks like an acoustic in the making in the background.

I love the grain pattern in the wood; I cannot even detect the join. What finish are you thinking of doing bluther? Sunburst would look great on this baby I reckon.
Great pics too man, good job. Look forward in seeing the end product.
I don't think there is a joint. It looks like 1 piece to me and yes the grain is great looking. Great job and keep it up.

Look closely on the underside of the body...you can see where two pieces of wood have been joined together by someone with a good eye for the grain pattern.sleeperNY wrote:Veenture wrote:Your project is looking very smart, German carve and all! Wow!

Its a two piece body. I got lucky with the grain pattern on this one
The acoustic in the background will be my second acoustic. They are a lot of fun to build. That one will be made out of Zebra wood with Ebony binding. I saw a orange Carvin that looked really sharp. The sunburst is what always reminds me of a Mosrite though. Its just classic

...that is one remark I like hearing ...and worth quoting!
