Gomez "G" Reverb-Amp 12 Watts of Smokin' Tone!!!!!
Just got a Gomez Reverb Amp and it's a Killer!!!! 12 watts with Reverb and Tremolo, Weber 12in Alnico Speaker, Blonde Tolex, Black panel with White Knobs, Oxblood Grill Cloth. I got it out of the box, got her powered up and plugged in my '83 Mosrite Side Jack. Smokin' Hot Tone!!! I have been hearing great things about Gomez amps for a while and finally found one on ebay at a deal. I now will strive to get a "Surfer" model for the bigger out door shows. If anybody out there has a Gomez Amp then Chime in, can't say enough good things about it. "Surf Long and Prosper",BC

Congrats! Now let see some pics.
Isn't that the one comparable to the Fender Princeton Reverb?

It is what Fender should have done with the Princeton RI they came out with. I know it would have pushed the cost up but man what a Tone!!!! I hooked it up in stereo with my '65 Bassman 2/10 combo +'64 Fender Reverb and it is Amazing!!! The built in Reverb in the Gomez is outstanding. Also the Tremolo is so usable. The perfect small room, Radio, TV apperance Amp and it stereo's with other Amps very well. Check out Gomez Amps online!!!!

I don't see a 12watt on their site. Looks like they only work 6mnths out the year, too.

The 12 Watt is a Custom Build only now. They were so overwhelmed with sales they had to quit taking orders untill 2010. I think it was an upstart business that got flooded with orders and is now trying to expand. You can get in touch with the Man behind the Amps on Surf Guitar 101, His name is Dario.

Thanks for sharing. I heard nothing but great things about Gomez Amp. The one on my list will be his Surf Amp head. Too bad he is closed until 2010.
If anyone is interested, check Victoria Victorilux which is also based on Fender Black face Princeton Reverb Amp. 35 watts. Pricey but very nice. great reverb and nice tremolo (the best tremolo I have heard is his Golden Melody)

Victoria Regal II is very nice too. By switching the tubes, it can be mixed and matched from 5 watts to 35 watts.
You can hear the sound here.

Victoria makes great Amps also. Played through a few at Buddy Guy's Legends in Chicago during my Blues Career. Gomez is closed for several reasons, to catch up with back logged orders, to revamp for new models, and maybe to hire some help!!!! I know he has been overrun with orders for a while. Even though the "G" Reverb-Amp is only rated at 12 watts it seems like 40. The combination of the handwired circuit, the Weber Speaker and being a Class A amp does it!!!

About a month ago I got my Gomez G-Spring reverb unit. It sounds amazing. Only good things to say about Dario and his Gomez business. I had to wait 4-5 months for it but it was worth the wait!

Thanks for the post IRT Gomez products. I'd never heard of them. I left SoCal in '96 to East Tennessee & my '67 Combo and all my Fender amps just sat packed away until last year when I started playing again. A friend went thru my '65 Deluxe Reverb a few months ago & just last Saturday I got my '72 Bandmaster head back. You got me goin' lookin' at the Gomez G Spring reverb unit. I'll bet one of those would sound great in front of the Bandmaster!!!
Enjoy your new amp.

How loud is it? Or rather how low can you play it and still get a good tone? I am looking for a good amp with reverb that wont get me kicked out of my apartment. tx
