Postby mosritetexas » Fri May 22, 2009 4:55 pm

Love the forum. I live in Texas but The Ventures were better than Buddy Holley.Hope to read yall's banter about all the model's . Real or not? Everyone wants an answer.Im sorry for every Mosrite I ever sold. From the white Ventures to the Black Brass rail. I still have a few left and a Amp Mosrite 200. Its fun.

Welcome, Texas. Great forum here - a whole subculture of Mosrite fans - experts and amateurs. The place to be if any interest in Mosrites or Mos-style guitars.

Good to have you here mosritetexas.
You're not alone when it comes to regetting the Mosrites you've sold.
If only we knew at the time.
The white one must bring back some painful memories though.

Howdy podner! (how's that, coming from a Dutch guy putting on his best Texas accent?) ;)
No Mosrites over here, so I can't have any regrets having sold any in the past. I'm proud though to represent the Mosrite shape and sound here now with my Hallmark 60 Custom :P
Welcome!

WEll......Painful is not the word. I sold ED Roman a handmade white Ventures model with a white headstock. Made in 1989 signed at the neck # 14. Ed said it was the best example he had seen of that period.Of course it was after he tried to con me down. The guitar had been played 15 minutes by Semie and 15 minutes by me in 1989 then put in a case and only touched to strum it lightly. MAN. the other was a 1966 Ventures bass. Black with black headstock. Semie had signed the pick guard. I have a few combos, celebs ,6,12, and 4 string. Bass sunburst and the 6 and 12 match. RED. OH last year I sold a black Brass rail. ya ya I know. stupid. I do also have a Mosrite amp. A M-200 solid state. NO it wasn't made by Dumbel. HA. Pics will come some day.
