Culver City Car Show/Hallmark

Postby mosriteforever » Mon May 11, 2009 7:27 am

Hey All,
I just wanted to drop a quick line to say the Culver City event was a big success. Terry was here and the Dynotones, Deke, and the Collins Kids tore it up! George Barris said it was the 1st time he has seen people stay so long and pay so much attention to the bands! It was also the 1st time people could not only see the guitars, but also hear them in the hands of such talented players. We got great pictures and video and I will post links when I get back east next week to video as well as post some pictures. I'll check in again the next time I get to a computer!

Thanks for updating and glad to hear that the show was a big success.

I hope some of them will be playing at Grugget's beneficial concert on 5/30. Look forward to their playing.

It was a good day. 100's of neat cars and terrific entertainment. You don't usually see this caliber talent at an afternoon car show. Bob had a great booth and presented personalized and custom built Barris inspired guitars to Larry and Lorrie and to Deke too.

Hey All!
Here comes the videos! I hope it works. The bass distorted a bit on my little Canon SD 550 but the guitars sound great in the hands of such talented musicians. George Barris had a videographer film the whole event and should have a professional DVD ready soon. Until then, I hope you enjoy these videos.
