Tailpiece bearings
Do these needle bearings ever get any type of lubrication, and if so, does anyone know what kind to use?

Re: Tailpiece bearings
Hey there GattonFan,
The torrington B-36 needle bearing comes factory pre-lubricated
it's designed to have a shaft spin continuity through it for the life
of the bearing, after one gets mounted in a Mosrite, if the owner
of the guitar uses the tremelo at all, the bearing moves 1/8 to 1/4
of a turn every now and then, so I don't think the lubercant ever
really wears out.
But for piece of mine, in an old bearing that seems a little stiff,
I use a drop of good ol' fashion "3-in-1 household oil".
I don't know how well it really works, but it makes me feel better.
Eddy

Thanks, Eddy. I was just wanting to err on the safe side, if these things need lube. Appreciate the info.
