Eddy I thoroughly enjoy your "4 next idols" in the making. I find it fascinating how dead and relatively uninteresting materials come together under skilled, motivated and experienced hands to be shaped into such beautiful and desirable objects!
I'll be drooling too just like the rest of us I'm sure when we may behold these four models upon their completion. But don't rush 'cause the game sometimes proves to be more fun than the prize, if you get my meaning.

Semie sadly isn't around any more to be able to show us (guys like me) how he did his thing with guitars but I’m thinking the forum is fortunate in having you being so willing to treat us by sharing such rich insights (whisper: and secrets?!) of building Mosrite guitars.
It seems easy to do, looking at the photographs and I feel prompted to start building myself too ...but I'll quickly forget that I said that! ;)

Thanks, Paul

Eddy:
You make this look way too easy!

Just so that no one gets the wrong idea, how many hours did it take to get the bodies to this stage?

The picture page is taking longer to load onto my screen each time as your project continues, Semie…err… sorry, Eddy, ;) but that’s OK because it means a new installment has arrived again!

BTW the good thing about this is, we can’t interrupt you by standing around you and asking you all sorts of ‘interesting’ questions while you’re busy working and concentrating but through the forum now, we’re all able to look over your shoulder as it were and follow what wonderful things you’re doing.

Wow, these four are sure gonna make some ‘big noise’ when they’re finished and all ready to play!

Great Eddy! :P

Hi Eddy-
Joe Emery from Austin TX here. These pics are amazing. One question -- for your body cavity and neck pocket routes, do you use a guide or do you just go freehand along the traced lines?

Also, a suggestion -- for the kitchen cabinets, I suggest using Vibramute instead of Mosely drawer handles. Ha!

Thanks for posting these amazing pics.

Joe

Hey Joe,
Thanks!
There's a routing jig atached to the back of the body' It's a 1/2" router bit,
coming up from the table there's an 1/2 pin that follows jigs, all the bodies
turn out the same, 2 or 200.
Going to have more neck construction pics tomorrow. I was sawing out the 3rd
neck a few minutes ago and broke my last good bandsaw blade, got to run up to
the big city "Muskogee" and get some more blades in the morning.

Hi Ed Just wondering what thickness you use for the neck blanks, degree angle for the headstock and are you using quarterd or flatsawn maple? BTW great write up on this thread keeps me on track for building my own.
