Finally got an exact duplicate (with Bob Shade's tremendous help) of the sunburst '65 Ventures Model I had from '65-70. Played in an R&B band in Pittsburgh in the 60s, and released "It Ain't No Big Thing" by The Electrons in '67. Now that was something--a twangy surf guitar playing Temptations songs!

Hey Mike! Nice to see you on the forum!

We are having trouble here with pics lately, but it would be nice to see your 65 if you can figure out how. I believe someone said Flickr?? I need to look into that.

Old pics of you in your band would be great as well.

Best, Bob

Hey, Welcome from another new one! Great place with awesome information! Even without photos, a valuable resource. I lived in Pittsburgh in the early nineties, excellent that yinz came dahn to say hi. I once met Fred Johnson from the Marcels there (of Blue Moon fame). Also Played the Decade and Electric Bannana before they left us. Not sure if there is any overlap there. Going to try and find that single you mentioned and listen for some sweet tones .

The son of our bass player posted "It Ain't No Big Thing" by The Electrons on YouTube. I remember The Decade Lounge and The Electric Banana, which was in the Oakland area, very near the University of Pittsburgh, where I graduated in '78 after a stint in the Air Force.
