Hello, nice to meet you, in advance

Postby Noah Nelson » Wed Apr 30, 2014 10:54 pm

I'm Noah Nelson, I'm from Sacramento, California. It's good to be here.

In other news, I play a '66 Mark I Ventures model in Ink Blue through a '65 Tremolux. A crazy setup. It's not without its issues, though, which I will ask about later, elsewhere on the forum.

Hi and Welcome, Noah. Nice to meet you even if it's through the internet. What does a tremolux sound like?

Thanks for the warm welcome. Central Valley? Awesome! I am a fan of the Central Valley, whereabouts?

As for the Tremolux, it sounds amazing, really, really amazing. It's perfect. A little squishier than a Princeton but not as squishy as a Pro Reverb. It's a head and closed back cabinet, brown grill cloth. I just had it gone over so it's at its high point in it's life with me. I've had it 11 or 12 years and played it darn near the whole time and never thought about maintenance. When I got the Mosrite, the output of the guitar started smashing the power stage so, in a hope to get it remedied, I had it gone through. It didn't fix the problem altogether but, it does sound like a million bucks until I start bar chording a like a kook. Anyhow, I'll elaborate on this when I pose the question to the forum later about experiences with "blocking distortion" due to the output of a Mosrite pickup.

Anyway, thanks for all the greetings everybody, I'm glad to be here and happy to own one of these brilliant guitars,
Noah

Hey Noah,
I hail from the thriving metropolis that is Manteca. Found my 6/12 doubleneck Mosrite @ the Modesto Guitar Center.
