mosrite guitar sent to Ed Elliot

Postby frankie » Sat Dec 29, 2012 4:11 pm

i was wondering if anyone on this forum has ever had any dealings with Ed Elliot? I was told by several
people here on the forum that this guy Ed Elliot was one of the best to have a mosrite guitar refinished.

well at the recommendation from some people on this forum i sent Mr Elliot my mosrite to refinish approx
5 or 6 months ago. i did hear from him a few times telling me my guitar was coming along nicely and
woould be finish very soon. last time i talked to him on the phone was about a month ago with him telling
me my mosrite would be finished and ready for me for xmas.

he stated he needed the money for xmas to buy his wife some xmas presents. so i sent him a check for the amount he requested. i have been trying to contact him by phone the last 2 weeks and he does not ever
answer his phone. i get a message and i tell him to please call me and let me know the tracking number of
my guitar and did he send it back to me? he has failed to return my calls at all. i expressed to him that
i did not feel he was being very professional by not at least returning my call to let me know where my
mosrite guitar was????"

i do not think this man can be trusted. does anyone else know how to get a hold of this man?

me thinks he might be a shyster con man? any other comments or opinions on this Ed Elliot guy.

anyhelp would be much appreciated. thanks frankie :( :( :o

Frankie, Mr. Ed Elliot is a looooong time Member aboard this Forum, and if he did not get back to you as required,
then there must be a certain reason for not responding.......
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

If for some reason Ed is not able to finish your guitar and you still need help, we have been refinishing and restoring Mosrites since the 70's. We have the original screens for logo work etc. We also have a fairly fast turnaround time.

I have not spoken to Ed in quite a while. I have not heard anything but is is anyone's guess as to why he would not be returning your inquiries.

Good luck and Happy New Year!

i can understand and relate if someone haas a little depression now and but realistically how hard is it
to pack a guitar in a box and send it out ups or fedex? it doesnt take that much time or energy to ship a
package out? maybe he is ill or under the weather? i will give him the benefit of the doubt but i sure hope
he calls me soon or at least ships my guitar back to me. he said it was finished. so ship it back.
