Johnny Ramone's Custom White Mosrite V-2

Hey ho, I finally got some pictures...
The white Mosrite "V-2" with one slanted pickup Semie Moseley custom made for Johnny Ramone around 1989, serial number 001.
You may have seen this Mosrite as John's second live guitar from 1990 to 1993, in some music videos (Merry Christmas, Spiderman, I Don't Want To Grow Up) and in their appearance at the MTV Movie Awards 1995.
The guitar is still displayed at the New York City Guitar Center...

this is pretty freakin awesome max! i didnt know until now that the pickguard was a 4-ply. glad i haven't cut my pickguard yet.

Thanks for posting these, I never knew it had V-2 on the headstock. BTW, on the back of the headstock it says "To Johnny, I Love You, Semie Moseley" and the year made. I've seen the photos of Semie presenting this guitar to Johnny, they gave him a leather jacket which he wore in a photo with them. Semies nephew and Loretta were there too and Jesus Diaz too(I think, it's been a while).

BTW, Johnny's autobiography comes out April 2nd, you can pre-order at

Should be a great read, apparently he started writing it when he got sick. Will be great to hear it from the source.
