Detroit Greetings to the Mosrite Fourm

Postby HolderofLowEnd » Mon Jan 16, 2012 5:39 pm

Profile: I have been a bass player in numerous bands around the Detroit and Ann Arbor, MI area since the late 60's. My first interest in the bass came as a result of listening to the Ventures. I enjoy the music of the 60's, 70's and some into the 80's. Classic rock and some of the new country songs are what I'm currently playing with a group of local musicians. I have never owned a Mosrite bass but have admired the styling Semie created for his guitars and basses. To me the bodies look more like a "Jazz B"butt reversed then a "Strat". Presently I still play my Hofner 500/1, Rickenbacker, and Fender basses primarily. Eventually I'd like to add a nice sunburst Mosrite to my collection. I am looking forward to contributing to the fourm and reading other posts.

Welcome to the world of Mosrite!

I just recently joined as well and I find this to be the best forum I have ever been involved with.
Respectful, knowledgeable and entertaining folks all here for the love of Mosrite.

This is THE place to find what you're looking for whether it be information, history, evaluations of something you are considering buying, even classifieds to sell your equipment.

It doesn't get any better!

News Flash: I just purchased an awesome Carson City Mosrite reissue (from expat Adam!) made by Semie hmself.
Will post the pics when it arrives.
