Hi all, just wanted to sing the praises of Hallmark. Just got my new Gospel model and I couldn't be happier. Bob Shade really does the deal on these guitars!
FYI, the pickup covers are supposed to match the pickguard, but Bob ran a little short on them. I was in a hurry to get this beauty, so Bob put some black ones on until he can get me the tortoise-shell. They could have been pink polka-dot and this guitar would still look good.

Beautiful, Tom! I'll venture to guess it plays and sounds just as good as it looks (If not better!) Congratulations!

I do too, but to have that same color will really make this thing jump out at folks.
And these pickups are HOT.

Re: My New Gospel
Looks great! The combination of the tortoise guard and pearl white with the gold hardware is sharp! I asked Bob if he could sell me a pair of blue pearloid pickup covers like on the one on the Hallmark website, but he didn't have any extras. Darn--they sure would have looked cool on my Surf Pearl 60 Custom! Your tortoise pickup covers should look good with the tortoise pickguard--I'd love to see some pics when you get 'em on there.
