Hello,
This is my first post. My name is Gari and I go by gooberman. I have recently gotten myself into building guitars. I have built two over the past year, one for a contest at another site just recently, and an offset of my own design. I was searching build threads and came accross this site and I was immediately intrigued. I really like the contours and such of the Mosrite and am very interested in building one in the near future. Based on my limited experience, I know I will be asking a lot of questions
I look forward to chatting with many of you in the near future!
Thanks, Gari

Welcome to the forum. If you're curious about the specs of a vintage Mosrite I can tell you now, My Ventures II (Third Generation model) Has a neck width at the nut of about an inch and 11/20ths. And the headstock isn't angled back, Its similar to a Fender but it has a much larger volute.

Welcome to the forum. I too dabble in building guitars as a hobby, most often experiments that end up hanging on the wall of my shop, but once in a while actually making it to a gig or two. The people here are a wealth of information, and there are some true artists at building guitars...lots to learn!

Thanks Austin. I did wonder what it was...I looked at a thread with all of the measurements on it and it completely threw me off. Especially the 2 degree angle at the heel and the 7 dgrees at the headstock. I was looking to see if there was a PDF of the side view of the neck, but I can't find one anywhere. Do you know how lone the heel of the neck is?

Thanks...and I agree completely...lots to learn. I recognized a few builders on this forum that frequent some of the other forums I am on. This is definately a fun and addicting hobby. My wife wants me to do it only in the winter months...but what will I do when she goes to bed?!?
