Cool picture Gary ...and that '57 reissue Strat ain't half bad either, I'll bet. I'm still very happy with the USA one I bought new last year and have found no need to mod any part of it
Thanks Veenture! My Strat is a really good playing/workhorse import from the '80s. I have done mods to it, a Tele pick-up in the bridge position and a phase switch. I put Bill Lawrence's L-48TL Single Coil Size Humbucker for Tele Bridge into my Tele...aside from the Mosrite pick-ups, this is the best pick-up I have ever heard. The Telecaster (1971) was already stripped and changed when I got it. At the time I got my Tele, my Uncle had a 1955 Fender Esquire that, like most people of that time I think, he had changed his Esquire and added the extra pick-up, making it a Tele. I had never herd what a true Esquire sounded like, so I decided to rewire my Tele to an Esquire. Long story long, It was great but the neck position on the switch (not pick-up, only one pick-up) was very muddy. So I did tweak that and now my EsTele

is one of my best sounding and playing guitars.

Bill Lawrence was living in Allentown, PA at the time I did this change. I called him and asked if he could make the pick-up he had designed for Danny Gatton, but never produced. He said "shure!" and the pick-up you see is the first one! He sells them now (but not in white)
