Gomez G-Spring Reverb Unit

Postby vibramute » Mon Dec 27, 2010 4:22 pm

Mint, as new condition. Not one ding, nick, or scratch. Functions perfectly. I tested this unit once in my smoke free home then put it away (I was hoping to gig with it, but my project folded and it's sat unused). Comes with the foot switch and dust cover. I still have the original box it shipped in. Rough-Blonde Tolex with Wheat grill cloth. Dario Gomez makes the finest PTP 60's Fender reverb unit clones (IMHO) available.

$599 shipped (these are $749 new, and are being discontinued).

Here are the specs:

I'll have pictures within the next 48 hours (still out of town at the In-Laws).

PM with any questions or if you want it.

Thanks!

I just have to post the highlights of these PM's from an "interested buyer" (consider it a post bump and a bit of good comedy):

it would work with any type of amp, right? As in, it would work with an amp that used transistors instead of tubes, right?

How does the amp actually work? I haven't had much experience with external amps. Can the G-Spring actually be used as an amp itself? Like, can you use it without another amp to plug into? Or do you have to plug it into another amp?

Oh, and are you absolutely sure that it works exactly like it's supposed to? With absolutely no defects whatsoever?

How does it compare to The Ventures' reverb sounds, such as in Diamond Head? Also, do you think you could record a demo of the reverb and post it?Also, how does it compare to, say, a Fender Twin Reverb Amp's reverb?

After patiently answering these questions over my holiday vacation, the coup de grâce was:

Sorry, I couldn't come up with all the money. You can sell it to the other buyers. Again, thanks for the information. It'll really help in the future!

To avoid waisting time that I'll never get back again, here are the specs from Gomez:

congrats to you and the lucky new owner - these are great repros of the original Fender units. Shecky uses one in MBP and it's spot on with my '63.
