Terve(that means hello) from Finland

Postby rawcut » Wed Nov 24, 2010 1:25 am

Hi everybody!

I'm writing from a small town in southern Finland where I'm living for about 3 years now. Originally I'm from Germany. In summer I started playing in a band again(the last time I was on stage was 93 or 94) and I thought it was time for a new guitar. Ever since I saw Mosrites on some Ventures LP sleeves I was hooked on them so now I thought was the time to finally get one for myself. Well, you all know that they are not the most affordable guitars, so I had to give up that dream(for now). I ended up with what seems to be a fairly good replacement, a Dillion copy. So for now this will have to do I'm afraid. I learned that the sound of the P90s is nothing like the Mosrite Pick-Ups so I'm already looking into replacing them with PUs that come close to the real deal. It feels like cheating, but what can you do ;)

Axel

P.S.: Does anyone else have winter already? It's snowing now and we got snow and minus temperatures for a week already...That's just wrong!

The sun is shining here today in Holland but old mister Winter is right on our doorstep...predictions are for a 'strong' wintery season :(

Hi Axel.....welcome to the forum.....I've heard of the Dillon but not ever played one......I'm actually happier with my Hallmark than with the Mosrite I owned in the mid 60's.....
Good luck with your band! :)
