Hey all,
I'm Shawn and I've been a regular on Surf Guitar 101 since it's humble beginnings. I played drums for 25+ years until physical issues progressed to where I could no longer play. I tinkered with guitar prior to that but became more serious after my drumming ended. My primary interests from a guitar standpoint are surf and exotica/loungey stuff. I have a fireburst Hallmark 60 Custom, a few Strats, an Epiphone Les Paul Ultra...As I'm a home player, I quit buying larger tube amps and have since settled with a Fender Super Champ xD

Thanks. The Hallmark the perfect surf guitar IMHO. I've played and/or owned several of the Mos clones. The Hallmarks seem to be the only one that got it right. The Eastwoods, Wilson Bros, Dillions just seem to have the general "look" but that's the end of the similarities. The Hallmark is built extremely well, the neck and pickups are great, and the trem is amazing. I would have never shelled out the cash for a Mosrite, so I'm very grateful for Bob Shade!
