New member with an old bass

Postby TheEHMan » Sat Jul 31, 2010 4:41 pm

Hello, everyone. My name is Ron Neely and I'm the proud owner of a 1966 Mosrite Ventures Bass, #6451. I purchased it back in 1989 for $295 and used it for many years as my main bass. I retired it a few years back due to it's age and the fact that it had been stolen once and I was lucky to get it back.
I also own a Mosrite-built Acoustic Black Widow guitar, which is a great guitar!

Hi Ron,

Nice bass and guitar you have there, do you still play?

We like pictures of Mosrites should you have any.

How did you get so involved with the EH instruments, and you have your own shop too? Cool.

Here's my bass. I'll get a pic of the Acoustic later today.

I quit playing for a few years but just started again in a local bar band.

I just started collecting EH pedals because they were (at the time) cheap and easy to get. Things just escalated and now I have about 100 pieces.

RonSound is my side biz for selling my guitar effects and vintage schematics. I also do effects repair. Site's down at the moment due to hackers.
