Hi there...

Postby prppedro » Thu Jul 29, 2010 9:32 am

Hi, People

My name is Pedro... Or simply Tadeu. I'm from São Paulo - Brazil and I'm a fan of Mosrite Guitars, particularly the Ventures II used by Jhonny Ramone. Really I want to have one yet. My actual guitar is a Giannini Diamond (ES-355), a brasilian Lucille copy.

And...ah... Sorry for my "failed" english, I'm trying to "improve" it.

Thanks,
T. R. P.
Guitar: Giannini Diamond ES-335 (1981)
Amplifier: Meteoro Nitrous Drive
Bass: Shelter Precision Bass Black (no amp yet)

Welcome, Tadeu - and your English is much better than my Portugese! I'm sure you'll find a wealth of info, and guitars to buy (if you're in the market) here on the forum.

Thanks, people. [2x]

I'll make the best use of the forum on all that's related to Mosrite guitars, and amplification. For now I'm trying to "establish" my equipment with amplifications, pedals, etc...

By the way, thanks (for the third time) and I'll be here "as ever as possible".

Welcome to the forum. To help avoid any confusion there were two different models that used the Ventures II name, The one that Johnny played was the first version, The "Slab Body" Model which is commonly called the "Mark II" Model. The later version is almost the same thing as the Mark V model.

Welcome to the forum. Not much information on Giannini guitars up here in the US; I've only read about the acoustic and classical models.

Good information... I've read the "Mark II" name somewhere, but doesn't remember exactly where.

Anyway, thanks (;

Thanks...

My Giannini is a Semi-acoustic "ES-355" or 335... Not sure. A vintage guitar in now days, that can be found for aprox. $ 600 (R$ 1200~). Well, "uma foto vale mais do que mil palavras" ("A photo is better than a thousand of words"): http://twitpic.com/21of7x
(Sorry for the unorganized bedroom, I've shoot this photo just after the strings replacement).
