They probably haven't been cleaned since the thing was produced. Lots of little specs of rust and dirt coming out on the sides.

Good job! I would still be doing the string 'pulleying' ( ) procedure even though you've freed them now because in so doing, you grind away any muck still hanging around; so just to make sure you keep 'em rollers rolling ;)

Electronk....

The saddles in your picture ARE correct!I went through this a few years ago with mine after I took it all apart to clean it.At first I put it togeather like a standard bridge with the widest for the bigger strings and the narrowest for the thinnest strings. The reason for the setup in your pic is to keep the strings following the proper radius. If you set them up from widest to narrowest then look at the strings from a side view they will be up and down( uneven) and not follow the radius.

+1 on mark1's comments - The rollers appear to be in correct order, per others I have seen.

Ha, Ha! Some saying to change it, others saying to leave it alone.

I wonder if anyone has a picture to put this debate to rest?

Seriously now, could anyone take a second to take a picture of the bridge area of an original mosrite in their collection? Strung or unstrung

I never figured any of you to be the shy kind.

(mine's a Hallmark bridge ...on my Hallmark 60 Custom...; it has a flat base and the saddles vary -slightly- in height so as to follow the mild radius of the fretboard. Perfect)

I found this pic here of a Hallmark 60 Custom Bridge. Might not be what you're looking for, but it may help you :)

That is a very nice looking roller bridge. But it is much too uniform to be much help.

Thanks though!
